A Little Closer to I, 2021

A Little Closer to I is a series of three hand-bound, image-based books that explore self-portraiture, landscape, and gestural movement. The project originated from research on movement and non-verbal communication, with each book representing a fictional category inspired by this study, guiding the image-making process. The photographs examine themes of self-discovery through the interplay of body and landscape, creating unexpected visual associations that reflect internal states. The work also engages with concepts of space and invites a dialogue on feminist perspectives regarding the occupation of public and private spaces.
